Out of the 3 major types of lead free tin based solder bars, the alloy Sn96.5Ag3.0Cu0.5 is considerd to has the best soldering property comparing to SACX07 and SAC0307. This solder bar is lead free, as per ROHS regulation, the lead inside is no exceeding of 1000mg/kg. It contains 96.5% of tin and 3% of silver, remaining 0.5% is copper.

The alloy Sn96.5Ag3.0Cu0.5 is the eutectic alloy of tin silver copper, it has the lowest melting point of 217℃, required a working temperature at around 260℃. It's the best alloy to replace the Sn63Pb37 leaded solder bar.
High silver content at 3.0%, comparing to low silver SAC0307 and no silver SACX07, the SAC305 Sn96.5Ag3.0Cu0.5 has the best electrical conductivity, best wetting property, firmest solderjoint, and lowest chance of solder bridge owing to the silver ingredient. Most ideal solder to be used for high end and high precision soldering applications.
